DMart buys several floors in a commercial building in Thane near Mumbai for ₹100 crore

The transaction involves purchase of ground, first, second and third floors with upper basement parking in Kolshet area of ​​Thane. Property registration documents show that the total area acquired is 6,530.86 square meters or approximately 70,298.18 square feet.

As per property registration documents, the commercial property has been purchased from Regency Shelters LLP, for which the buyer has paid stamp duty 6.94 crore, and the transaction was registered on June 30, 2026.

Documents reveal that the property also includes 46 car parking spaces and 47 parking spaces for two-wheelers.

What is DMart?

DMart is a national supermarket chain that offers customers a range of household and personal products under one roof. The company offers products focusing on food, non-food (FMCG) general merchandise and apparel product categories.

According to company data, its first store opened in Mumbai in 2002 and it had 387 stores by December 31, 2024. In June 2026, DMart acquired multiple properties across multiple floors of a commercial building in Bengaluru ₹106.2 crore, according to property registration documents obtained by CRE Matrix.

The documents reveal that the acquisition pertains to a commercial building identified as Block-A, located at Panathur Village, Varthur Hobli, Bengaluru East.

As per the documents, the built-up area of ​​the property is approximately 1.70 lakh square feet and includes undivided land portion of 4,046.85 square metres, which is approximately equivalent to 43,560 square feet.

In May 2026, billionaire investor and DMart founder Radhakishan Damani’s company, Deriv Trading & Resorts Pvt Ltd, leased a luxury apartment in Worli, Mumbai, to One SGG Ventures LLP, a unit of Sanjay Ghodawat Group, on monthly rent. 27.5 lakh, according to property registration documents obtained by Zapkey, making it one of the most expensive residential rental deals in the city.
