Godrej Properties Ltd. has acquired a 47-acre land parcel for a residential project in Chennai with a developable potential of approximately 1.2 million sq. ft. The estimated revenue this project is expected to generate is ₹500 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing on June 30.

The proposed development on this land will primarily consist of plotted residential units and is expected to provide developable capacity of approximately 1.2 million square feet with projected revenue potential. ₹Rs 500 crore, the company said.
The company has acquired the land parcel through outright purchase, located near Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) in South Chennai.

Where is the site located?
The company said the site is well-connected through OMR, providing access to major employment hubs in the Siruseri-Kelambakkam corridor, including SIPCOT as well as emerging nodes such as Vandalur, Guduvancheri and the wider Mahabalipuram area.
The location is supported by constantly evolving social infrastructureWith access to healthcare facilities, educational institutions, retail and entertainment options, this is contributing to its growing appeal as a residential destination, it said.

During FY 2025-26, Godrej Properties acquired 18 land parcels to develop housing projects, which have combined revenue potential ₹Rs 42,100 crore as part of its expansion plan to meet strong consumer demand.
Earlier this year, Godrej Properties acquired 44 acres of land in Tamil Nadu Coimbatore To develop a premium plotted residential project with projected revenue potential of approx. ₹450 crores.
