Rategain Travel Technologies has announced a major expansion of its commercial operations in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa (APAC and MEA), with the company growing its regional team five-fold in the last year to more than 100 professionals.

This expansion follows Rategen’s acquisition of Sojourn and is part of the company’s broader strategy to accelerate the adoption of AI-powered commercial solutions among hotels across the region. The company said the robust architecture will help hoteliers looking for an integrated platform that combines pricing intelligence, demand generation, digital marketing, guest engagement and travel intent data.

The regional expansion is being led by Anurag Jain, Executive Vice President, APAC & MEA, who has overseen the integration of the combined Rategen-Sojourn commercial organization in key travel markets including India, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Turkey, Singapore, China, Japan, Dubai and Africa.

” Hotels don’t need more dashboards, more vendors, or more complexity. They need results. Our job is to make every hotel discoverable when demand is created, convert that demand more effectively, and increase guest value – all through a connected, AI-powered ecosystem. AI shouldn’t create more noise. It should make growth simpler, faster, and more measurable,” said Executive Vice President, APAC & MEA, Rategain Anurag Jain said.

The company said the initiative addresses growing concerns among hotel operators about fragmented commercial technology systems, increasing vendor dependencies and challenges around attribution and direct demand generation. RateGain’s strategy is focused on providing hotels with a connected AI-first platform that aims to simplify commercial operations and improve measurable business outcomes.

As part of the regional restructuring, the company has made several leadership appointments across sales, enterprise solutions, partnerships, marketing and account management functions. Key appointments include Camille Venturina for Singapore and Oceania operations, Shukun Ma for China, Ruka Nagai for Japan, Ram Mohan Dubey and Sverre Christiansen for Middle East and Africa and Wafei Safwat Mekhail for Saudi Arabia.

Jain said, “Hospitality leaders in Asia, the Middle East and Africa are fundamentally rethinking how they acquire guests, create value lists, direct bookings and engage travelers. Our goal is to make that transformation practical, scalable and commercially meaningful. The markets we serve do not reward complexity. They reward speed and results.”

The company said expansion efforts are underway in emerging growth markets including Turkey, Vietnam and Australia, with additional launches planned in APAC and MEA as the company strengthens its position in hospitality-focused AI and SaaS solutions.
